The Front Furrow Fighter consists of a turning mechanism fitted with an arm allowing various rollers to be engaged. The result is mounted on the front linkage device.

The turning mechanism allows the roller to operate both on right and left tractor sides, cultivating the furrow slices of the previous run. The turning mechanism is fitted with a device on which weights can be mounted. Cat. II

Pressure system
It is of particular importance that some pressure can be exerted on the roller. This is provided by a hydraulic cylinder that also does the turning. An accumulator is added to this system to make sure that a constant, tightly controlled pressure can be mounted on the roller, independent from the tractor movements.

The big advantage of this instrument compared with systems added to the plough is that the plough run and operation is not affected, while there is still a relatively large pressure on the roller.

This makes the effect to be achieved much larger than with instruments that cannot mount pressure or disturb the run of the plough, risking plough misalignment. The picture on the left clearly shows this effect, comparing cultivated and uncultivated ploughing results.
